Meet The Team
MANAGER, DIRECTOR, CHOREOGRAPHER, TEACHER AND FOUNDER
I’m Sophie, I trained at Guildford College and then moved on to Laine Theatre Arts where I did my A-level dance. I then went to the Linda Sweetzer School of dance in Maidenhead to do my ISTD
training. After completing my training I could not wait to start teaching so I set up a Desire To Dance in 2009 and never looked back!
Dancing was a passion for me from a very young age when I started training Latin American and ballroom in Dorking town. From a young age I knew I wanted to teach and is the best thing I’ve
ever done. I love my job and I find it extremely rewarding. I feel blessed to have such wonderful students and watching them grow into fantastic dances makes me very proud! Over the years Desire To Dance has expanded and I’m extremely excited for what the future will
bring, with new opportunities on the horizon I cant wait to open doors to offer more dancers the opportunity to dance.
MANAGER, CHOREOGRAPHER AND TEACHER
My name is Libby, I have been dancing from the age of three when I began ballet training at Laine’s Theatre Arts. I have also been a member of Desire To Dance from age nine and I’m now privileged to be teaching at the same school that shaped me as a dancer. I teach various styles, specialising in lyrical contemporary, street and musical theatre. Dancing has
always been a passion of mine and I love watching my students constantly develop and improve in both dance and as individuals. I’ve already achieved a distinction in level 2 BTEC dance and Distinction star in level 3. I have an
enhanced DBS check and am first aid trained. In August 2019 I achieved a distinction in my IDTA dance teacher qualification, meaning I’m a fully qualified, professional dance teacher. Along side
my passion of dancing I love working with children and have experience with children of all ages and abilities through my work experience at Woodlands disability school. I love teaching my current classes and I’m exiting for what the future at Desire To Dance holds for
both me and my students.

Dance has always been my passion right from the age of 5 where my journey began. Over the years I have received endless amounts of dance training from exceptionally talented teachers from
the dance schools iv been apart of. I have performed on lots of local stages throughout my life and spent 2 years Dance training at Reigate College, which iv thoroughly enjoyed. I completed my
dance teacher training and qualification with the IDTA exam board and passed with the highest marks of a distinction (International dance teachers association) which has always been my dream.
I’m very excited to watch our students progress and grow as dancers and help them achieve their goals! From the very first class I ever taught I knew this was the career path for me, as I found that
teaching is an extremely rewarding job, which i absolutely love. I believe dance has made me the person I am today and can not wait to pursue my dance teaching career further in the future.
